Winter Hike on the border of Skåne and Blekinge – Bökestad-Vesslarp – Skåneleden 1 – Day 2 (by Guillaume Hullin)

2nd day of winter trekking on the Skåneleden, passing along frozen lakes and crossing through an other region of Sweden (Blekinge).
Turn out that the temperature dropped during the night to -9 degrees Celsius but I was surprisingly confortable in the sleeping bag.
I did reach my main target which was 25km of irregular terrain and wrapped up 2 sections of the Skåneleden in one day, the main challenge not being the distance but the daylight. Sun rise at 7am and night fall at 4pm, 5 hours of hike… and the rest on breaks and admiring sceneries… that’s the challenge of winter hike.
